Military Transgender Day of Recognition – Sunday – May 28, 2017 – 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.

I would like to personally invite you to attend the first annual Military Transgender Day of Recognition (MTDOR) in partnership with The Gender Identity Center (GIC).

Date: May 28, 2017

Location: VFW Post 1 841 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO

Time: 6:00pm

Tickets: FREE! But please register for a ticket for food accountability purposes. (https://MTDOR.eventbrite.com)

Beer and Wine bust!

Silent Auction: Opera Tickets, Denver Pride VIP Tickets, VooDoo Donuts, Denver Film Society, Beer Tour of Colorado, Wine Tour of Colorado, and many more!

Our speakers are Laila Ireland, a Transgender Army Veteran and advocate in the community and Dr. Shelby Scott, one of the Veteran Care Coordinators for the Denver Veterans Affairs hospital.

Our Transgender Service Members are a special part of our LGBT community and those who served in the military may not have had the recognition for their true identity. This event honors their service (past or present) as who they choose to be today.

All funds raised will support AVER-RMC and The GIC to advocate for equality further in our community.

I greatly look forward to seeing you at this event and implore you to share this event and invite others who may be interested. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

Respectfully,

Sarah E. Alder

US Army Veteran

President, AVER-RMC
