Veteran-Directed Home and Community-Based Services (VD-HCBS). Our goal is to help our Veterans who are disabled and at a Nursing Home level of care to remain at home with their loved ones. VD-HCBS is through the VA, so the Veteran will have to be enrolled in the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. This program helps the Veterans families keep them home by essentially giving the Veteran the power to decide who they will hire to help assist them with their everyday needs.  Through this program, the Veteran will have the authority to pay their spouse, family, friends or professional caregivers to aid them with their daily non-medical care. The Veteran will have the ability to monitor their workers and complete their time cards, and manage their budget, and if the Veteran does not have the capacity to do the above themselves they will be allowed to have an Authorized Representative to do it for them.

Website for Women Veterans

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recently revamped its Center for Women Veterans website. The website now includes a list of news stories updated every business day, resources, a list of relevant upcoming events, and information about ongoing and published research. Women are also highlighted when they are featured as VA's #VeteranOfTheDay. For more information, read the VA VAntage Point Blog.
