Singapore Prize and Singapore Prestige 100 Awards

Singapore Pools announced recently that the winning ticket in their draw had won $13 Million! It was sold at NTUC FairPrice The Woodleigh Mall and Giant Pioneer Mall stores; 12 winning tickets in Group 2 shared in this prize pool; with one ticket’s highest amount won standing at $127,391 alone! This particular jackpot category can only be won through online sales of Singapore Pools as well as stores including Chinatown Point branch of Singapore Pools; one in eleven chances exist of capturing its top prize!

The inaugural Singapore History Prize, administered by the NUS Department of History, was launched in 2014 as part of Singapore’s 50 years of independence celebrations. Recognising an outstanding publication that has significantly deepened Singaporeans’ understanding of their nation’s past.

A prestigious jury panel chaired by former Singapore diplomat Kishore Mahbubani will select and announce its winner in October 2024. This award is open to both non-fiction and fiction works that explore history-themed writing; book length works can address any topic, period or field within Singaporean history.

Winners of the Singapore Prestige 100 Awards are celebrated for their contributions to the economy, society and community; business leadership; innovation; presence/brand awareness in relevant markets within and beyond the region; as well as building strong credibility with clients/customers/public.

This year’s awards program attracted record numbers of applications – over 1,500 applications were received from various organisations – with judges selecting winners based on leadership and innovation capabilities, scaleability and transformational potential.

The awards ceremony took place at Mediacorp Theatre and included performances by Bastille, OneRepublic and Bebe Rexha. Hosted by Emmy Award winner Hannah Waddingham and three-time Emmy winning actor Sterling K. Brown, with each finalist sharing their inspiring stories and accomplishments during a nightful evening of festivities.

At the event, winners of the NUS Humanitarian Awards were also recognized, for their efforts to better the lives of their communities. Harrison Si Min and Tan Wei Liang from Jalan Journey’s Jalan Journey project both made an impressionful speech recognizing their efforts at making an impactful difference within their communities. Harrison Si Min founded a Social Enterprise that provides virtual experiential learning for youths while Wei Liang created an app enabling citizens to pay forward by paying utility bills of neighbors in need – winning awards were also recognised for courage resilience and commitment towards creating change – while more than 4,000 guests joined for this ceremony which featured several speakers.
